Investigate the photography of Bill Lyons in the galleries, then make a list of words that describe how you feel and what you see. Use these words to create a Haiku, then illustrate your poem with ink and watercolors.

From first dates to golden anniversaries, every inch of Central Park
(the subject of Bill Lyons photography exhibit) has facilitated some stage of romance for more than one hundred years. We'll take this inspiration to make flower bouquets from recyclable materials.

Art's Club: Magnifying Masterpieces

Choose a painting from the Mini Masterpiece exhibition, select a l" section that appeals to you and magnify it into a large drawing with colored pencils. We' II see who can match the drawings to the paintings at the end of class!

Art's Club: Yarn Masterpiece
Save the Date: Apr 16, 2022

Choose a painting from the Mini Masterpieces exhibition and sketch it on cardstock. Then use colored yarn to replace the brushstrokes. You'll learn how colors interact beside each other and how objects are broken down into simple shapes.

Preschoolers will discover the basic elements of music through songs, movement and stories on the cello with celebrated Suzuki-method instructor, Beth Goldstein McKee. Instruction includes beginning position games using a small cello in class. By the end of 8 weeks, parent and your child will have a foundation of simple songs and activities to continue at home. Great for families considering beginning cello lessons for their child! Capacity: 8 students. Minimum: 2 students.

Learn to play the saxophone or refine your performance with private ½ hour lessons tailored to your skill level. Topics will include saxophone sound and technique, reading music, learning and reading aurally (without the use of sheet music), instrumental improvisation, and home recording. The semester will culminate in students performing live (for family) or recording an improvised solo over a selected piece of music or backing track. Lessons are for students of varied skill levels, including beginners. Ages 10+.  We will contact you to schedule your half-hour appointment , between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., after registration.
