Held rain or shine on the Hoyt Lawns
Each year we end our Children’s Summer Art Camp with a celebration on the Hoyt lawn! This year’s theme, The Art of Stories, can be found in many of the free activities including an Alice in Wonderland themed Miniature Golf course, exotic animal show (right out of the Jungle Book!), and a prehistoric puppet performance (discovered on a Journey to the Center of the Earth)! Bring a t-shirt for tie dye, a sense of adventure for the scavenger hunt, change for concessions, and your vivid imagination to compete in the annual Chalk-on-the-Walk Competition!
Experience the wonders of natural history by coming face-to-face with walking and roaring dinosaurs. A fully immersive educational show. A one-of-a-kind dinosaur performance sure to bring wonder and amazement to children of all ages. Experience natural history like never before as dinosaurs come to life in Jurassic Jungle LIVE! Our fully immersive educational show will deepen your love of Natural History and inspire your child’s creativity.

Inspired by this year’s camp theme “The Art of Stories”, we’re planning a book exchange at this year’s Children’s Summer Arts Festival! Simply bring a book the kids have outgrown and exchange it for a “new-to-you” title on the big day! Donations are welcome in advance to ensure that every child who wants a book can go home with one! Books may be dropped off during normal business hours Tues-Thurs, 11-8; Fri & Sat, 11-4.
It takes many volunteers to make the Children’s Festival happen for the nearly 1000 kids in attendance.
Help is needed doing crafts and activities with kids, face painting, and serving food. High School students needing service hours are welcome!
