Immerse yourself in the world of words and writing! In this course, students will experiment with different elements of creative writing with both prose and poetry. Each week will focus on a different element of writing including plot, characters, imagery, and finding their voices as a writer. Students will write and share their creations with a focus on celebrating each other’s creativity. Students will have access to computers in the Digital Media Lab, but should still bring a pen and notebook or personal devices if preferred. Additionally, the students will have numerous opportunities throughout the course to virtually meet with professional children’s literature authors.
