Masonic Landscapes

$35 Non-members | $20 Members
Instructor: Paige Kleinfelder
Save the Date: Nov 12, 2022

American artist and freemason, Thomas Cole (1801-48), founded the Hudson River Valley School in 1825. He modified what he saw in the landscape to infuse masonic ideals into the narrative of the paintings. This workshop will connect his art to that found in the Mystery and Benevolence exhibit before inviting the student to create their own landscape painting in a similar way.
