Art Exploration
1 Saturday, 1-3 pm
Did you know that art can be wearable, fashionable, and charm-ing? Learn the basics of hand building as well as getting a charm to take home with you. In this class, we will go over how to roll slabs, how to cut and modify slabs with tools and stamps, and how to finish a piece for the kiln. Students will have the option to add a matt or glossy texture to their charm. The tiles be dried and fired by our instructor and available for pick up the following week. All materials included. This workshop can be a great get-together for friends!

Students have an opportunity to create using their imaginations in this hands-on 3-D art class. They will create figures in air-dry clay, including characters and backgrounds, and make masks as well. All materials provided.

Explore the basics of graphic design with guided projects using the Adobe Creative Suite. Each week will feature a design prompt illustrating the use of various tools/functions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Students should bring a flash drive or have access to cloud storage (google drive).

8 Saturdays, 10-11:30 am
Come and join us in the digital lab and learn the art of Claymation. Students will learn to develop characters and storyline. They will work with green screen backdrops, camera work, and editing. At the end of the course, the students will have a finished short movie that they can put on a thumb drive.

4 Tuesdays, 6-7:30 pm
This four-week course will cover the fundamentals of drawing. Students will learn to see as an artist and draw by using simple shapes. Students will learn to shade and how light affects shadows, in addition to proportions. Instruction will become more advanced as skill levels improve. All materials provided.
Capacity: 10 students. Minimum: 6 students. Ages 16+. Non-members: $90/Members: $75.

8 Tuesdays, by half-hour appointment
Whether your child is just beginning or seeking to advance his/her skills, each ½ hour private lesson is tailored to the student’s individual abilities. Information on rentals and appropriate sized instruments is available. With young children, parent attendance at lessons is recommended. Options to add additional individual and group lessons available.
6 Saturdays, by half-hour appointment
Join teacher Jewel Ullrich for 1:1 vocal instruction to help you find your unique vocal quality. Lessons are appropriate for beginners, as well as for those interested in improving skills. Instruction will include proper breathing techniques, vocal registration, resonance, vowel placement and more. Lessons are open to children and adults.
Ages 10+. Appointments 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Non-members: $120/ Members: $97.50.
Reinforce private lessons by learning to play with others. This course is designed to help existing students listen, respond, and perform as a team. A recital will take place at the course end.
