Explore the elements and principles of design with guided projects using the Adobe Creative Suite. Each week will feature a design prompt illustrating the use of various tools/functions: texture (week one), contrast (week two), line (week three), movement (week four), pattern (week five), and balance (week six). Students should bring a flash drive, camera (phone, tablet, or DSLR), and SD card (if using camera). Capacity: 10 students. Minimum: 5 students. Ages 15+.

Whether your child is just beginning or seeking to advance his/her skills, each ½ hour private lesson is tailored to the student’s individual abilities. Information on rentals and appropriately sized instruments is available. Options to add additional individual and group lessons available.

Learn to play the saxophone or refine your performance with private ½ hour lessons tailored to your skill level. Topics will include saxophone sound and technique, reading music, learning and reading aurally (without the use of sheet music), instrumental improvisation, and home recording. The semester will culminate in students performing live (for family) or recording an improvised solo over a selected piece of music or backing track. Lessons are for students of varied skill levels, including beginners. Ages 10+. We will contact you to schedule your half-hour appointment , between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., after registration.

Whether just beginning or refining your skills, join newcomer Kris Harper for 1:1 vocal instruction incorporating the benefit of proper breathing techniques, posture, engagement of the entire body, vocal production, and proper vowel formation. Apprehensive about making music? There’s no wrong way to drum! Explore your curiosity with less apprehension and more success while building strong social skills! Drumming circles have proven beneficial to communication, academic and emotional development, cognitive skills, and even fine and gross motor impairments! Learn about this versatile instrument and have fun in a supportive environment. African drums will be provided in class. Capacity: 12. Minimum: 5. Ages 10+.

Join teacher Kevin Danielson for 1:1 piano instruction for beginners, as well as those wanting to improve their musical talents. Each one-half hour lesson, tailored to the student’s individual level, will build on skills. Ages 10+. Appointments begin at 10:30 am. Last appointment at 3:30 pm.
Reinforce private lessons by learning to play with others! This course is designed to help existing students listen, respond and perform as a team. Lessons will end with a recital for families.

This class is to provide students with little to no knowledge of video production with the basic steps required to produce a Hollywood film/video. Gain a basic understanding of camera operation, lighting, editing and sound to make a video with your classmates! Bring a notebook and a flash drive. Capacity: 8. Minimum: 6. Ages 13-18.

Claymation is essentially stop motion animation using clay to create your characters and develop your storyline. Professional filmmaker, Tom Stoops, will lead students through the process of developing a character and storyline, the use of green screens, cameras, and editing. At the end of the course, the students will have a finished ‘short’ to share! Capacity: 8. Minimum: 6.
