This summer, warmer weather and open skies offer the perfect classroom to enjoy arts experiences in a safe, socially distanced manner. Standard COVID-19 precautions remain in place until further notified. Space is limited, thus registration is required for most activities.

Stained Glass Sun Catcher Workshop 2: Fall 23

Learn the basic skills of the copper foil method to by creating a simple sun catcher! Choose from a selection of seasonal patterns to cut, grind, foil and solder glass into a lovely work of art for your window! Tuition includes all materials.

This workshop is great for an opportunity to learn something new and creative! Learn to create colorful mosaics on glass with black grout to render the look of stained glass. This introductory workshop will gain students the techniques needed in shaping mosaic surfaces. Students will acquire the skills necessary to take on larger projects.

String Art: Fall Themes

Who ever said that art is “knot” your thing?  String art begins with the pounding of nails into a block of wood, then a methodic wrapping of colored embroidery threads around the nails to create pretty designs. You’ll find the transition from hammer to nail a great way to decompress!  Participants will have several themed options (autumn, Thanksgiving & Christmas) to choose from.

Make it a Date Night!

Not exactly a paint-and-sip, but you do get wine! Bring your significant other or make it a girls night out and join guest artists from across the region for a unique art making experience! Includes wine, snacks & materials! Space is limited! Held outdoors on the Hoyt Lawns.

Make a coaster set or picture frames with a geometric design created by dots. Refreshments will be served.

Join us for these free activities throughout the summer! Though the events are free, space is limited and registration is required.

Family Tie Dye

June 5, 10:30 – Noon

Bring your own white cotton t-shirts, socks, scarves or whatever it is you want to dye! We’ll experiment with various techniques on swatches before you choose the one you like best!

Wonderland Teacup Workshop

July 10, 10-11:30 am

Inspired by this year’s Art Camp theme, this free family workshop will create a tabletop garden in a giant teacup! One teacup per family.

Family Yoga with Cindy Naples

August 7, 1-2:30 pm

Stretch out on the lawn with certified yoga instructor, Cindy Naples! It doesn’t matter if you’re new to yoga or have a regular practice, this is a great opportunity to bond as a family.

August 20, 7:30 pm

One last “hurrah” before heading back to school! Bring a blanket! We’ll provide the popcorn! Pre-movie activities begin at 7:30 pm. Movie to begin after 8 pm.
