This summer, warmer weather and open skies offer the perfect classroom to enjoy arts experiences in a safe, socially distanced manner. Standard COVID-19 precautions remain in place until further notified. Space is limited, thus registration is required for most activities.
Let it Go: Art for the Soul
Expressive workshops that marry creativity & mindfulness! Workshops open with meditative exercises and experiment with media that offers newbies plenty of forgiveness. Materials included.

Make it a Date Night!
Not exactly a paint-and-sip, but you do get wine! Bring your significant other or make it a girls night out and join guest artists from across the region for a unique art making experience! Includes wine, snacks & materials! Space is limited! Held outdoors on the Hoyt Lawns.

Learn how to use your cell phone to capture the great outdoors while hiking along the Slippery Rock Creek. Includes a snack to share as the sun sets.
Attendees will meet at the Hells Hallow Parking Lot at 6 pm. The hike is approximately a 1/2 mile, on a gravel trail over mostly level terrain. In the event of rain, the class will be rescheduled.

Learn the basic principles of a portrait to exaggerate your partner's features in caricatures of each other! Includes adult refreshments.

An evening of various forms of dye-based art making such as Suminagashi paper marbling, alcohol ins, tie dye, and batik. Refreshments included.

Family Tie Dye
June 5, 10:30 – Noon
Bring your own white cotton t-shirts, socks, scarves or whatever it is you want to dye! We’ll experiment with various techniques on swatches before you choose the one you like best!
Wonderland Teacup Workshop
July 10, 10-11:30 am
Inspired by this year’s Art Camp theme, this free family workshop will create a tabletop garden in a giant teacup! One teacup per family.
Family Yoga with Cindy Naples
August 7, 1-2:30 pm
Stretch out on the lawn with certified yoga instructor, Cindy Naples! It doesn’t matter if you’re new to yoga or have a regular practice, this is a great opportunity to bond as a family.

One last “hurrah” before heading back to school! Bring a blanket! We’ll provide the popcorn! Pre-movie activities begin at 7:30 pm. Movie to begin after 8 pm.
