- Add a ribbon, string or yarn to create a tassel
- Each time you read a new book, color in a book on your bookmark and write the titles on the back! How long will it take you to fill in your bookmark??
Bookmark Option 2: Stained Glass Bookmark
- Cut out the bookmark on the right (the blank one)
- Mix 3 parts white glue with 1 part water in a small cup or dish
- Cut up some tissue paper in to small pieces (about half inch squares)
- Dip a piece of tissue paper into the glue mixture
- Allow excess glue to drip off and then place the piece of tissue paper on the bookmark. Smooth it out with your finger or a paint brush.
- Repeat the process, overlapping edges of the tissue paper, until the bookmark is covered.
- Allow it to dry. If any tissue paper goes over the edge, trim it off now.
- Punch a hole at the top and tie on your string, ribbon or yarn.
