Raku glazing is sometimes referred to as “painting with fire”! Pots are removed from the kiln red hot and placed in combustible materials that erupt in flames on contact. The chemical reaction causes patterns that are as unpredictable as they are beautiful! You’ll walk away with at least two bowls! Instructor Anthony DeRosa is the artist behind the wheel at Mud Monkey Pottery. Learn more about the Raku process from him in this video.
Members: $70/couple. Non-members: $100/couple.
