Paintings by Claire Hardy
A collection of landscapes inspired by the work of Claude Monet whose sunlit paintings remind the artist of the Pennsylvania countryside. Hardy explores these works by painting multiple versions using different painting techniques. Some are faithful renderings that imitate Monet’s compositions, palette and brushwork. Others use his work as a starting point to explore iconic elements or magnify the size and weight of the brush strokes. The results are fresh and full of a love for the landscape.
