Challenge Tips
Gather your supplies and head outside!
Decide what you want to include in your landscape – your yard, the trees in the distance, etc. If you want to sketch out your landscape first, do so with pencil. Then dive in with your paints. Make sure to use enough water to “wake up” your watercolor paints and to rinse out your brush when switch colors!

Landscape – A painting of nature and the land such as the ocean, mountains, trees, and sky.
Plein Air – This is French for “open air”. This is the term often used for painting outdoors.
