DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 6, 2021 Artists are invited to submit electronic entries for the 48th Hoyt Regional Juried Exhibition. Elaine A. King,freelance curator and art critic, will select works and award winners for the exhibition. Solo Show

Whether you are interested in applying for a solo exhibition at Arts & Education at the Hoyt or in gaining exposure through our offsite location, please take a minute to review the following guidelines before applying. The deadline for submissions for the 2022-23 season is June 1, 2021. Eligibility While not necessarily limited to artists age 21+ from the Mid-Atlantic region, preference is given to proposals stemming from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Washington D.C under the following conditions: Applying to Arts & Education at the Hoyt: Selection for exhibition on our main campus is competitive. Artists are typically established and have prior exhibition experience. You must be able to demonstrate mature talent with a consistent body of work. All current Hoyt Artist Members are invited to participate in the 1st Annual Hoyt Artist Member Exhibition! No Entry fees. Open to Hoyt Members only. Due to the COVID-19 closures, the exhibition has been rescheduled. See below for new dates and deadlines. It’s In the Details: This annual competition held by Lawrence County Partners in Preservation highlights these features while raising funds to preserve our historical landmarks for future generations to enjoy.

Lawrence County Art Show: From state parks and Amish farmlands to ethnic foods, festivals and fireworks, the Annual Lawrence County Art Show invites artists to capture the people, places and events that make our region unique!


Inspired by the Federal Art Project’s response to providing relief for artists following the Great Depression, Arts and Education at the Hoyt is dedicating its 2020-21 Public Art Fund budget to the creation of local art by local artists in public spaces throughout Lawrence County.  Proposals for projects – both big and small – are being sought from Lawrence County artists through June 15 and might include sculpture, murals, mosaics, paintings and more. Awards will be announced in July. The maximum award is likely not to exceed $2500. Projects must be completed by June 30, 2021 Eligibility Requirements Artists must reside in Lawrence County The location you choose must be a public space in Lawrence County. Permission from the property owner must be obtained, in writing, by the artist. Works can include, but are not limited to, murals, sculpture, mosaic, and paintings.
