Juror: Phil Alexandre

Phil Alexandre (b. 1965) is president of Alexandre Fine Art, Inc., which operates Alexandre Gallery in Manhattan.  Located on 57th Street in the Fuller Building, the gallery represents a group of mid and late career representational and figurative artists including Gregory Amenoff, Brett Bigbee, Lois Dodd, Anne Harris, Emily Nelligan, Tom Uttech and Neil Welliver.  The gallery also specializes in the work of the first generation American modernists with particular focus on the Stieglitz Group, including Arthur Dove, Marsden Hartley, John Marin and Georgia O’Keeffe.  The gallery presents a regular program of group and one-person exhibitions.  Alexandre was born in New York and attended Kenyon College and the Portland School of Art.  Prior to establishing Alexandre Gallery, Alexandre worked in partnership with Tibor de Nagy Gallery and was director of Terry Dintenfass Gallery, Inc.
